Accounting Technician

  • Accounts payable.
  • Record and process invoices received from suppliers.
  • Properly classify the invoices to the correct general ledger account and project.
  • Prepare the credit card reconciliation and ensure all codification is done accurately.
  • Classify electronically all invoices and supporting documents in a systematic method.
  • Ensure that controls are followed in relation to expenses and payments.
  • Assist in managing the payables inbox to ensure timely treatment of invoices.
  • Prepare payments of invoices via electronic fund transfer, wire transfer and/or cheques.
  • Accounts receivable.
  • Prepare monthly rent roll.
  • Prepare Deposit slips.
  • Ensure cash receipts properly recorded.
  • Collection of outstanding rents.
  • General Ledger.
  • Preparation of Bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare reconciliations of various GL accounts and any Ad Hoc reconciliations or analyses requested.
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end files.

Education and requirements:

  • DEP in Accounting.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or equivalent (an asset).
  • 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of HOPEM Software a plus.
  • Real Estate experience a plus.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Dynamic personality and solid team player.
  • Strong computer skills, especially Excel.
  • Bilingual (French and English).


$50,000.00-$62,000.00 per year, depending on experience
